Dr. Ho Phi Huynh is an associate professor of psychology at Texas A&M University-San Antonio. Dr. Huynh received his Bachelor of Science in Psychology at the University of Arizona in 2008 and his Ph.D. in at the University of California, Riverside in 2014.
Dr. Huynh is a social-health psychologist who studies power imbalances in dyads, particularly the role that humility plays in these relationships. For example, he studies physician humility and examines patient health outcomes related to having a humble physician/clinician. Relatedly, Dr. Huynh is interested in humility development; for example, what psychological factors underpin humility and how can they be leveraged to cultivate humility? Finally, he is interested in student success, particularly for minority students. Dr. Huynh teaches a variety of courses including statistics, research methods, social, sports, health, and positive psychology. In his spare time, he enjoys coaching volleyball and hanging out with his wife and two kids.
